3 sauces, a thousand of flavors

Sauces are the ideal and essential complement for many of the dishes that we know; particularly designed to enrich any kind of preparation.

Bolognese sauce

From the Italian Region of Bologna, this sauce is commonly used as an accompaniment for pasta.

Its main ingredients are minced/ground meat of beef or pork, carrots, celery, onions and tomatoes. According to the different recipes it is possible to find in addition, peppers, garlic, red or white wine, herbs and other spices.

With regard to the most popular dishes which are prepared with this sauce, we can highlight the spaghetti bolognese, one of the most popular dishes of the italian cuisine.

 Curry sauce

Curry, despite being a condiment widely at the global level, comes from the Indian cuisine. The word that was known to this spice was Kari, which means sauce or spice in Tamil, the language spoken in South India. But, the curry that we know today is not a spice itself, but it is composed of a wide variety of these.

 The mixture for the preparation of this sauce  is usually  include spices such as basil, saffron, cinnamon, cardamom, onion, cilantro, cumin, turmeric, ginger, mustard seed, nutmeg, pepper and tamarind.

This sauce is normally used as an accompaniment to fish and meat dishes, but can be used in other dishes, because it combines well with many ingredients.

Barbecue Sauce

The BBQ sauce, invented in the U.S. at the end of the 19th century, is used to spice up mainly roast beef, but may be applied to any food that is prepared in this way; although it should be noted that, in recent years, is being widely used in a particular type of pizzas, as a substitute for tomato sauce.

The barbecue sauces can be sour or sweet, and their ingredients may vary from the tomato sauce, vinegar, spices, sweeteners and honey.
